Brief description of the series

The ITECH IT6700H series of high-voltage laboratory DC power supplies is an indispensable tool for generating high voltage (up to 1 200 V) with low ripple and noise. Models of this series have a wide range of useful features: high accuracy and high resolution (up to 10 mV and up to 10 mA), output voltage change mode according to the list of values (up to 150 steps), 4-wire connection, all types of protection (from overvoltage, overcurrent and overheating), quiet cooling fan with automatic speed control, manual and software control, plus all popular communication interfaces (USB, IEEE-488 and RS-232).

The ITECH IT6700H series includes 17 models of high-voltage power supplies with voltages up to 1 200 V, currents up to 220 A, and maximum output power up to 3 kW. This video review presents two models of laboratory power supplies of the IT6700H series, which are manufactured by ITECH company. Extended voltage and current range

All models in the IT6700H series have an extended voltage and current range for excellent versatility. In this case, the maximum value of the output power is automatically limited to a certain level. Such volt-ampere characteristic of a laboratory power supply significantly increases the operating range of voltage and current ratings.

For example, one IT6724H high voltage power supply (300 V, 10 A, 1 500 W) can replace three standard power supplies: (300 V, 5 A), (250 V, 6 A), and (150 V, 10 A). List mode

In addition to the standard operating mode, high-voltage power supplies of the ITECH IT6700H series have the ability to automatically change the output voltage according to a list of values predefined by the user. This list can include up to 150 different values, each of which determines the output voltage and the time during which this voltage must be generated. The minimum duration of each step is 0.1 seconds and the maximum is 9 999 seconds. The figure below shows an example of such work. Read more about this feature here: list mode.

Case design

Power supplies of the IT6700H series with a maximum output power of 850 W and 1 500 W are made in a compact desktop case weighing 6 kg, and power supplies with a power of 400 W in the same case, but less deep and weighing 4 kg. With the optional accessory IT-E151, all of these models can be rack-mounted in only half the rack width and 1U height.

Connection terminals are located on the front panel and for most models are also duplicated on the rear panel. The type of terminals depends on the voltage and current: closed type for high-voltage models, powerful terminals for models with high current and classic terminals for models with a power of 400 W. Power supplies of the IT6700H series with a maximum output power of 3 000 W are made in a 16 kg desktop-rack case. The connection terminals are located on the rear panel and are covered with a protective cover. Overall dimensions and design features are shown in the figure below.
