SHORT DESCRIPTION
Optical Testers or as they are also called optical multimeters of the economy series FHM2 companies grandway are compact and inexpensive devices that contain a source of stabilized optical radiation and a calibrated optical power meter. Optical testers Grandway FHM2 are used to measure the insertion loss in a fiber optic line, as well as to measure the level of optical power at various points in the network. The series consists of four models that differ in the number of emitter wavelengths (2 or 3) and the optical power level measurement range (up to +10 dBm or up to +26 dBm). Radiation: 1310 nm, 1490 nm, 1550 nm. Measurement: -70 to +10 dBm (model FHM2A02).
Radiation: 1310 nm, 1490 nm, 1550 nm. Measurement: -50 to +26 dBm (model FHM2B02).
Operating modes: insertion loss measurement, radiation source, power meter.
Radiation source: constant radiation or with modulation of 270 Hz, 1 kHz and 2 kHz.
The power meter automatically determines the wavelength and the presence of modulation.
Power meter calibrated: 850nm, 1300nm, 1310nm, 1490nm, 1550nm, 1625nm.
Display illumination. Memory: 999 records. Program for processing results on a PC.
Interface: USB. Battery life with power off: up to 100 hours.

Location and purpose of the main elements of Grandway FHM2 optical testers
Grandway FHM2 optical testers have a classic arrangement of controls and connection connectors for devices of this type. On the left is a stabilized optical source connector for 2 or 3 wavelengths (depending on the model), and on the right is an optical power meter connector, which is calibrated at the six most common wavelengths. On the bottom of the case there is a power connector and a USB connector for connecting to a computer.
Processing of measurement results of optical testers Grandway FHM2
Optical testers Grandway FHM2 can store up to 999 measurement results in internal memory, which can be transferred via USB to a computer for processing, logging and storage. The program is used to work with measurement results. FHM2 Data Manager, which is included in the standard scope of delivery of the device.
