SHORT DESCRIPTION

Fujikura CT08 is Fujikura's new universal cleaver, used with all types of welding machines. This cleaver has replaced the popular model Fujikura CT-06A and differs from it by the possibility turn the knife without the use of additional tools, as well as a simple blade replacement procedure. In addition, the Fujikura CT08 cleaver is protected from dust, moisture, shock and drops.

Fujikura CT08 is an inexpensive and reliable cleaver. It cleaves the fiber in one step and the rest of the cleaved fiber simply falls into the side container. The cleaver has a smooth knife stroke and allows you to cleave the fiber even "on weight". When the knife in the current position becomes dull, it can be easily rotated to the next position by simply sliding a special wheel located at the bottom of the body with your finger.

An additional advantage of the Fujikura CT-08 cleaver is that when the knife has completely used up its resource, the user himself can replace it, since the cleaver design does not require special adjustments after replacing the knife. DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The Fujikura CT08 Automatic Optical Fiber Cleaver cleaves the fiber with a special blade made of CB-07 high-strength steel. Each blade position is rated for 1000 cleaves. As the blade wears, it can rotate in a circle and lock into 16 different positions. After the blade has worn out in all sixteen positions, it can be raised twice in height, which makes it possible to use its full cutting circle twice again. Thus, the total resource of the blade is: 1000 * 16 * 3 = 48,000 chips. After the resource of the CB-07 blade is exhausted, it can be easily replaced by a new one by the user without sending the cleaver to a service center.

The principle of operation of the optical fiber cleaver Fujikura CT08

The design of the Fujikura CT08 cleaver allows for the fastest possible fiber cleaving. When you open the cleaver cover, you automatically cock the knife, no additional buttons need to be pressed to cock the knife. When the lid is completely lowered, the mechanism for moving the knife is triggered and the fiber is cleaved, and its cut simply falls into the side container. When you open the lid again to remove the cleaved fiber, the knife will automatically cock again.

Two types of Fujikura CT08 cleaver pads: AD-50 and AD-10-M24

The platform for installing AD-50 fibers, which is standardly attached to the CT08 cleaver, does not have a pressure plate, so the fiber can be placed on it very quickly, holding it with your hand and transferred to the device immediately after cleaving. For those who prefer slower and more precise work, there is a separate fiber installation platform with a classic pressure plate AD-10-M24.

Fujikura CT08 Cleaver Knife Turning and Lifting Easy Procedure

The Fujikura CT08 cleaver uses a new type of CB-07 knife-blade, which features a clear marking of the current position (see photo below). In total, the knife has 16 working positions, each of which is designed for an average of 1,000 chips. As the current position of the knife becomes dirty and worn, the quality of the fiber cleavage gradually deteriorates, and when the cleavage angle begins to regularly exceed 1 degree, it is necessary to gently wipe the working edge of the knife with alcohol. If, after cleaning the knife, the cleavage angle still consistently exceeds 1 degree, then it's time to turn the knife to the next working position.

In the Fujikura CT08 cleaver, the procedure for turning the knife-blade is very easy: you do not need to unscrew any screws, just move the special wheel located at the bottom of the cleaver body with your finger and the knife will turn to the next working position. The appearance of the wheel is shown in this photo on the right. Please note that when turning the knife, the cover of the Fujikura CT08 cleaver must be in closed position.

After the knife-blade CB-07 is worn in all sixteen positions, it can be raise twice in height, which makes it possible to use its full cutting circle twice again. In order to raise the knife to the next working position, unscrew the counterscrew (1) exactly one full turn, then in a clockwise direction exactly one notch turn the screw (2) which will raise the knife, then gently tighten the counter screw (1). After that, the CT08 cleaver is ready for another 16,000 cleavers.
