Semi-automatic optical fiber cleaver Fujikura CT-10A

 

SHORT DESCRIPTION

Fujikura CT-10A is an inexpensive and compact cleaver recommended for applications where low cost and good quality are equally important. This cleaver uses a straight diamond blade rated for 64,000 cleaves. Replacing the knife does not require special skills and can be done independently. The picture shows the cleaver with the optional metal FC-03 fiber remnant container. The service life of the cleaver exceeds 10 years. Authorized service in Kyiv. For special applications, models CT-10B and CT-10 are available.

- cleavage length from 6 to 20 mm (models CT-10A, CT-10A-FC)

Knife life: 64,000 chips. Cleave angle error: 0.5 degrees.
The diamond knife can be replaced by the user.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Despite the reduced size and cost, the CT-10 series cleavers provide quality fiber cleaving that rivals more expensive models. The knife is a sharpened diamond plate. A knife resource of 64,000 chips is provided by 16 possible knife positions. Initially, the blade is set to its extreme position. After 4,000 cleaves have been made, turn the screw on the side of the cleaver with the hex wrench supplied, which will move the blade slightly perpendicular to the fiber and allow for another 4,000 cleaves. To pass through all 16 positions, the adjusting screw must be turned 3 full circles (to change 1 position, it is necessary to turn the screw 72 °, i.e. the fifth part of the circle). At the end of the service life, the knife is easily replaced with a new one (part CB-02).

Fujikura CT-10 Optical Fiber Cleaver Kit

The Fujikura CT-10 cleaver is available in six modifications, which differ in the fiber holder (Fiber plate), as well as the presence or absence of a container for fiber scraps (index -FC in the model name: in the photographs it is a light gray container to the right of the cleaver). The most popular model is CT-10A (without container). Each cleaver also includes:
