SHORT DESCRIPTION

Powerful single-channel laboratory DC power supplies series ITECH IT6500 - more than 100 models providing maximum power (up to 30 kW in one device). For even greater application versatility, all models in the series allow any combination of voltage and current within its maximum capacity. In total, the ITECH IT6500 series includes 113 models of power supplies with various combinations of output voltage (up to 1,000 V), current (up to 1,200 A) and maximum allowable power (from 800 W to 30,000 W). Modifications IT65xxC contain these additional features: mode electronic load, variable output resistance, fast response of the output stage (on and off in 3 ms). Choose the best power supply from 113 models in the ITECH IT6500 series

Series innovation and versatility ITECH IT6500 allow you to successfully solve any task of testing power devices: auto electronics, batteries and accumulators, solar panels, LEDs, high-power semiconductor devices and much more.

The lowest power model in the series (IT6502D at 800W) and four models at 1200W (IT6512, IT6512A, IT6513 and IT6513A) can be described as: good performance and compact body, designed for general use in the laboratory and in production.

All models from 1800W to 30kW D (models IT65xxD) can be described as: high performance with stable output voltage and current, designed for automotive, green energy, high-speed testing, high power testing and other similar applications in the laboratory and in production.

All models from 1800 W to 30 kW with letter C (Models IT65xxC) - this is most functional modifications that can be characterized as follows: smooth (without jumps) transition from the power supply mode to the electronic load mode, multifunctional models with a fast response of the output stage. These power supplies are designed for applications that require both generation and consumption of power. For example: automotive electronics, simulation of the current-voltage characteristics of solar panels, motors controlled by constant voltage, batteries and similar tasks.

Stress tests of equipment that correspond to real conditions as closely as possible

Generating powerful DC voltage and current is only one of the tasks that can be solved with the help of ITECH IT6500 series power sources. However, most equipment testing involves applying to the device under test imperfect signals, as similar as possible to those that exist in reality: jumps and ripples of the supply voltage, short-term power outages, a smooth increase or decrease in current, uniform ripples when charging batteries, the formation of voltage with a given internal resistance of the source, and many others.

All of these complex test scenarios can easily be completed with the IT6500 series. Designed for this mode of changing the output voltage and current according to the list of set values. In this mode, the user can set the voltage and current values, as well as the duration of each step. The list of values itself can be written to the IT6500 source using the keyboard of the device itself or created using software. In this way, almost any kind of test can be implemented. Adjustable output impedance on IT6500C models

In the IT6500 series, all models with the letter C have the ability to provide a given value of its output resistance. The resistance range varies from 0 to several ohms and depends on the specific model. This feature is in great demand in battery discharge and charge tests, since a real battery always has a finite internal resistance, which, moreover, depends on various parameters of the battery itself.

Carrying out tests for compliance with automotive standards DIN40839 and ISO-16750-2

All automotive electronics should function normally during dips and power surges caused by engine starts and stops. To unify such tests, two international standards are used: DIN 40839 and ISO-16750-2. Models IT6512, IT6513 and all models IT65xxC contain a built-in set of test transients in full compliance with these standards, which will allow you to quickly and efficiently test the operation of any automotive electronics. Both voltages used in the automotive industry are supported: 12V and 24V.

Design Features of ITECH IT6500 Power Supply Series

The low-power models of the ITECH IT6500 series at 800 W, 1200 W, 1800 W and 3000 W are made in an instrument case that can be placed on a laboratory bench or mounted in a standard rack. As an example, the photo below shows the IT6523D with a maximum output of 3kW.

Powerful models of the ITECH IT6500 series (from 6 kW to 30 kW)made according to the modular principle and consist of one 3 kW control unit and one or more power expansion modules (each also 3 kW). As an example, the photo below shows the IT6532D model with a maximum output power of 6 kW, which consists of two modules: a three-kilowatt generation and control module (top) and a three-kilowatt power increase module (bottom). Accordingly, the 30 kW models consist of one 3 kW generation and control module and nine power expansion modules (each 3 kW).

The photo below shows the rear panel of the IT6532D with a maximum output of 6kW. On top is a three-kilowatt generation and control module. Under it is a three-kilowatt power increase module. The modules are connected by a powerful power bus (called Source Output in the photo). Above the power bus is a green connector (Remote Sense) to compensate for voltage drops in the connection wires. Synchronous operation of the modules and uniform load distribution between them is performed using the system control bus (System Bus on the left in the photo).

Pay attention to the plug (Load Output), located between the cooling fans. All models with the letter C (IT65xxC models) replace this plug with a connector to control the operation of external IT-E500 series power absorption modules, which can be used to increase the absorbed power up to 90 kW when the IT65xxC power supplies are operating in the electronic load.
