Comparison table

This page describes in detail most of the series of modern spectrum analyzers. Each series has a short description and a photo. The table below shows the same analyzers, but not by series, but by models. At the same time, for each model, the main technical characteristics are indicated (maximum and minimum frequency, noise level, etc.).

All models of spectrum analyzers (scanning and real-time) and signal analyzers (with I/Q demodulation capability)sorted in the table as they increase maximum frequency. If the maximum frequency is the same, then the cheaper models are placed first.

If a feature can be improved with options, then the improved value is given in brackets eg: for the Aaronia HF-80200 V5 analyzer, the minimum (lower) frequency is 9 kHz as standard, but can be improved to 1 Hz with an additional option. Therefore, in the table, the value of the lower frequency for Aaronia HF-80200 V5 is indicated as: 9 kHz (1 Hz).

1 Noise DANL (Displayed Average Noise Level) - the best noise value in dBm (without recalculation to 1 Hz) is indicated, which the analyzer can actually provide when setting the minimum RBW and turning off the preamplifier. For example, for an analyzer with DANL rated at -138 dBm/Hz and a minimum RBW of 20 Hz, the best noise level that can be achieved in practice is -125 dBm. If a preamplifier can be included in the package, then the noise value that the same analyzer can provide with the preamplifier turned on is indicated in brackets.


2 SSB phase noise - guaranteed value of phase noise at 100 kHz offset from a test signal with a frequency of 500 MHz, 1 GHz or 2 GHz (depending on the model) is indicated.
