MAIN CHARACTERISTICS
The R&S FSP spectrum analyzers stand out in their class with their large set of standard procedures.
The instrument does not need to install a large number of options, as the standard version of the R&S FSP already provides all the functions and interfaces that a modern spectrum analyzer should have, among them:
- The largest color display among analyzers of this class
- Frequency resolution from 1 Hz up to 10 MHz
- Highly selective digital and FFT filters
- Quasi-peak detector and sweep filter bands for EMI measurements
- Adjacent channel power measurements on single or multi-carrier signals
- Easy presentation of results as hard copy or file in PC-compatible formats
- Interfaces: GPIB, Centronics, RS-232-C, LAN (optional), USB
- Automated test routines for 3rd order intermodulation, occupied bandwidth, phase noise, and adjacent channel power factor
- Split screen capability two with separate settings for each and display up to three spectrograms on each of the two screens
- Ability to set a limit line for signal level for pass/fail testing
- Fast measurements in the time domain: a minimum sweep time of 1 µs
- Ability to process TDMA signals in standby mode
Optimal dynamic range
The laboratory spectrum analyzers of the R&S FSP series have the lowest average displayed noise level of instruments in their class.
Ultra-low measurement uncertainty
In the most important frequency range up to 3 GHz, the R&S FSP operates with very low error. The total measurement error is less than 0.5 dB. Due to this, the use of power meters in standard laboratory test benches is very often redundant and it becomes possible to more accurately determine the deviations of the parameters of the device under test.
Noise figure measurement
Due to the high linearity of the measurements, the R&S FSP is also ideal for noise figure measurements. The optional R&S FS-K30 noise measurement software enhances the R&S FSP as a noise analysis system with additional benefits.
