SHORT DESCRIPTION

Portable oscilloscopes from an American company Tektronix series THS3000 were designed specifically to perform differential measurements and measurements with isolated (floating) inputs at remote and autonomous objects such as: electrical substations, rail and air transport, industrial installations, etc. To effectively solve such problems, the THS3000 series oscilloscopes are made in a small portable case , have a low weight and an extended temperature range, and are also equipped with a capacious battery. You can download a full description of all the characteristics below on this page in the section Documentation.

Areas of use:
- analog and digital systems
- power supplies
- high current electronics
- development and maintenance of automotive and aviation electronics
- development and maintenance of industrial electronics
- testing and maintenance of electronics in the field

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Every engineer knows that it is very difficult to make accurate and safe measurements on power plants, power electronics and similar systems because they use high voltages and signals that cannot be measured with respect to "Earth" potential. The problem becomes even more complicated when the measured signals reach several kilovolts, or when, by connecting to them, it is possible to create ground loops.

In such complex systems, it is necessary to perform "floating" measurements. To do this, the Tektronix THS3000 series of handheld oscilloscopes contains architectural features that distinguish it from most conventional oscilloscopes: all 4 channels of the oscilloscope are completely isolated from each other and from the body of the instrument. In addition, the power supply output and USB interface are also isolated from the oscilloscope inputs, reducing the risk of accidental grounding or shorted wires. By using the THS3000 Series oscilloscopes with the right probes, you can be sure that your measurements will be fast, safe and accurate.

The Tektronix THS3000 Series oscilloscopes automate most of the measurements you make on motor drives, power converters and inverters, power semiconductors, and more. THS3000 oscilloscopes can be used with a variety of probes, including current ones, while automatically taking into account the parameters of the probes, and the corrected and recalculated results are displayed on the screen (for example, when measuring power in Watts). Four isolated channels make it easy to take measurements on 3-phase systems or simultaneously measure control and generation signals in power electronics.
