MAIN CHARACTERISTICS

The Agilent CSA N1996A Spectrum Analyzer reaches a level of performance previously unimaginable in a compact spectrum analyzer. The widest dynamic range at this price point is achieved with unparalleled low distortion, a significant improvement in noise performance and standard 10 Hz bandwidth. The analyzer has a total amplitude error of ±0.5 dB (with 95% confidence). Now the user gets all these features with increased reliability (mean time between failures of 30,000 hours and an annual failure rate of less than 7%).

Ease of expansion Agilent CSA N1996A

Unique among Agilent products, each Agilent CSA N1996A Spectrum Analyzer comes pre-installed with options ready for use. This makes it easy to expand its capabilities, allowing users to reconfigure the instrument to meet changing needs. Installing the tracking generator and preamplifier options may require service center calibration.

Flexibility

The unique options and design features of the Agilent CSA N1996A Spectrum Analyzer increase the flexibility of the user's workstation tools. The analyzer provides two mounting locations (sockets) for measurement options circuit boards, allowing you to expand the capabilities of the analyzer and thereby meet the needs of the user that may arise in the future.

Measurement of communication channels parameters

The Agilent CSA N1996A Spectrum Analyzer provides measurements of a wide range of communication system channel parameters, allowing the user to accurately evaluate the performance of conventional wireless telephony and other channelized communication systems and their components. By presetting standards-defined or user-defined parameters and using the adjacent channel power measurement function, you can easily determine the level of distortion and power in the channel. Similarly, the occupied bandwidth measurement function can quickly determine the power and bandwidth of signals with complex modulation. Additional features of single-key measurements in communication systems will be supplemented in the following modifications.
