MAIN CHARACTERISTICS
EXFO's FPM-300 Optical Power Meter is part of a new line of handheld instruments that also includes: Radiation source FLS-300 and Optical Loss Tester FOT-300.
Devices EXFO FLS-300 and EXFO FOT-300 can transmit along with the radiation a special encrypted digital identifier that allows the EXFO FPM300 Optical Power Meter to use the correct calibration parameters. This feature eliminates the need for communication between the two measuring technicians and reduces the possibility of error.
Signal encryption can also be used to transmit power information as a reference to the receiving end, making the reference setting process more efficient even when the two instruments are far apart.
Thanks to its unique design, the FPM-300 Optical Power Meter reduces measurement time in standard situations, as there is no need for a reset procedure.

The EXFO FPM-300 optical power meter allows you to test passive optical networks (PONs) at 1310 nm, 1490 nm and 1550 nm wavelengths, i.e. three wavelengths recommended by ITU-T (G.983.3) for PON.
