MAIN CHARACTERISTICS
The FLS-300 light source from EXFO is part of a new line of handheld devices that also includes: Optical power meter FPM-300 and Optical Loss Tester FOT-300.
The FLS300 Optical Light Source can transmit a special encrypted digital identifier along with the light, which allows any compatible Power meter EXFO FPM-300 and receiver EXFO FOT-300 automatically use the correct calibration parameters. This feature eliminates the need for communication between the two measuring technicians and reduces the possibility of error.
Signal encryption can also be used to transmit power information as a reference to the receiving end, making the reference setting process more efficient even when the two instruments are far apart.
