Oscilloscopes 300 MHz and 350 MHz

This section presents our proposed digital oscilloscopes with a bandwidth of 300 MHz and 350 MHz. To simplify the choice, a brief description of the features of each series in which there are such models is given, this will help you understand how some series differ from others, and which oscilloscope model is better to buy. Descriptions of oscilloscopes are divided into groups: professional level and average level.

At the bottom of this page is comparison table, in which, for all 300 MHz and 350 MHz oscilloscopes, their main characteristics are given: the number of channels, sampling rate, memory size, and others.

If you are choosing your first oscilloscope and are not very familiar with their types and characteristics, we recommend reading this article: Choosing a digital oscilloscope - a detailed guide.

Professional grade 350 MHz oscilloscopes

The most functional series in which there are models with a 350 MHz band is Tektronix MSO5. The digital oscilloscopes of this series are equipped with a 39 cm touch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 dots and an innovative user interface.

The MSO5 series consists of 12 models, three of which provide 350 MHz bandwidth. These models are: MSO54-BW-350 (4 analog channels with FlexChannel), MSO56-BW-350 (6 analog channels with FlexChannel technology), and MSO58-BW-350 (8 analog channels with FlexChannel technology). Digitization of signals on all channels is carried out using accurate 12-bit ADCs at a rate of 3.125 GS/s. By reducing the bit depth of the ADC to 8 bits, it is possible to double the digitization rate to 6.25 GS/s.

Reliable detection of rare signal anomalies is performed using DPO technologies, which analyzes more than 500,000 waveforms per second. And if necessary, the bandwidth of these oscilloscopes at any time expandable up to 1 GHz with a simple software key activation.

A simpler series that has models with a 350 MHz band is Tektronix MSO4. Same as older series MSO5, the MSO4 series digital oscilloscopes feature a large 1920 x 1080 dot touch screen and an innovative user interface. They contain 4 or 6 analog channels with technology FlexChannel (up to 48 digital channels). Essential oscilloscope for multi-channel analog and digital systems

Another professional series that has a 350 MHz bandwidth oscilloscope is Tektronix MDO4000C. The devices of this series are unique in that they contain built-in spectrum analyzer up to 6 GHz. At the same time, the signals from the analog and digital channels of these oscilloscopes and the signal from its RF input are precisely time-coupled, which makes it possible to correlate events in the frequency domain with their causes in the time domain and vice versa.

In addition to advanced RF analysis capabilities, the MDO4000C Series digital oscilloscopes measure up to 340,000 waveforms per second, include a built-in standard and arbitrary waveform generator, a 16-channel digital logic analyzer, and a serial bus protocol analyzer.

In addition, at any time the bandwidth of these oscilloscopes can be extended up to 500 MHz by activating the software key.

It is also worth noting that the MDO3 series oscilloscopes measure up to 280,000 waveforms per second, as options they contain a built-in generator of standard and arbitrary signals, a logic analyzer for 16 digital channels and an analyzer of serial bus protocols (I2C, SPI, CAN, UART, USB, etc. .).

modern complex electronic systems

Of the company's mid-range USB oscilloscopes we offer Pico Technology (UK) in series PicoScope 6000E there is one model with a bandwidth of 300 MHz. This is the PicoScope 6403E, which has 4 analog channels, plus you can add 8 or 16 digital channels by simply connecting one or two digital probes. Signals are digitized using an 8-bit ADC.

Pay attention to the very large amount of internal memory (1 billion samples), high-speed waveform capture and processing (up to 300,000 waveforms per second) and the fact that decoding and analysis of more than 20 serial protocols is included as standard. And all this at a very favorable price.

Notes:

1 Number of channels - the number of analog channels is indicated. If the oscilloscope is also equipped with digital channels as standard, then their number is indicated after the "+" sign. If digital channels are available as an option, this is marked as (opt.).

2 Record length - the standard recording depth per channel is indicated, in many series the memory size can be increased using additional options.

3 Oscillograms per second - indicates the speed of continuous capture and analysis of waveforms, which can actually be provided by a specific model. Several tens of waveforms per second are enough to view stationary signals. To detect infrequent interference or fast signal changes, choose a model capable of delivering at least 5,000 waveforms per second. Read the article for details: description of DPO technology.

4 Spectrum analyzer - four types of spectrum analyzers are used in oscilloscopes: software-based FFT (FFT), software-hardware based on SpectrumView, software-based SignalVu and a full-fledged hardware radio spectrum analyzer. The software analyzer based on the FFT (FFT) has two main drawbacks: it works only with large amplitude signals (10 mV or more) and when using it, as a rule, it is not possible to simultaneously see the signal itself and its spectrum. The SpectrumView-based firmware analyzer has a separate digital spectrum processor in each oscilloscope channel and provides ease of use and capabilities far beyond the FFT. The SignalVu-based software analyzer has very broad RF analysis capabilities, including vector demodulation, but like the FFT and SpectrumView only works with large amplitude signals. A fully hardware analyzer allows you to fully measure the spectral characteristics of even weak radio signals with an amplitude of less than 1 μV (less than -107 dBm).
