Peculiarities

High noise immunity and immunity to interference are patented features of the Site Master S332 D, which allows measurements to be made on nodes with a large number of radiation sources. The PC data processing software allows you to monitor the various changes that occur in the system with the generation of relevant documentation.

The Site Master S332D is suitable for personnel of all skill levels involved in the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and routine maintenance of any modern wireless transmission system, including: VHF, broadband, cellular, PCX/GSM, 3G cellular systems , wireless LANs, etc.

Spectrum analyzer

The spectrum analyzer integrated in the Anritsu Site Master S332D is specially optimized for mobile network testing. It is designed to operate in the frequency range from 100 kHz to 3 GHz. With the Site Master S332D, problems can be detected, documented and resolved quickly and with high accuracy.

By pressing one button, you can perform such necessary measurements in mobile communications as: signal level, channel power, occupied bandwidth of the spectrum, adjacent channel power ratio ( ACPR ), interference analysis (interference and interference).

The Anritsu Site Master S332D analyzer also has a built-in AM/FM/SSB demodulator that makes it easier for the engineer to determine the source of the interfering signal.

Measurement of Return Loss Ratio and Standing Wave Ratio ( SWR )

To ensure that the system under test meets specified specifications, it is very important to measure the Return Loss Ratio or SWR. The Anritsu Site Master S332D allows you to accurately perform these measurements by easily switching from one mode to another. In this case, there is no need to climb a cell tower - measurements can be taken from the ground.

Cable loss measurement

By measuring cable loss, you can determine the level of signal attenuation in the feeder path caused by the presence of the cable. Cable loss measurement can be carried out before commissioning, when both ends of the cable are available, and directly during operation, when only one end of the cable is available. Anritsu Site Master S332D automatically calculates and displays the wastage rate. This eliminates the need to do any manual calculations.

Determination of distance to damage

Although the measurement of the return loss coefficient provides information about the level of signal reflection, it does not allow determining the exact location of damage in the AFU path. The Anritsu SiteMaster S332D analyzer allows you to accurately determine the distance to the location of damage or abnormal behavior, as it shows both the amplitude of the reflected signal and the distance to the places of reflection on the graph.

InstaCal Quick Calibration Module

The InstaCal Quick Calibration Module allows you to accurately calibrate your Anritsu SiteMaster S332D analyzer in half the time of using separate Open - Short - 50 ohm loads. When using InstaCal, it is enough to connect this module to the S332D only once and the calibration will be performed automatically.

Power Monitor (Option 5 for S331D and S332D)

For power measurements over a wide frequency range, use the Anritsu 560 and 5400 series detectors. These detectors are excellent for measuring the 18 GHz T1/E1 base station channel. The measurement range is -50 to +16 dBm and the indication range is -80 to +80 dBm. There are several types of detectors for different frequency ranges.

Measurements up to 6 GHz (option 6)

The FCN4760 frequency down converter allows the Anritsu Site Master S332D Option 6 analyzer to operate in the frequency range from 4.7 GHz to 6 GHz. The main purpose of the FCN4760 converter is the development, deployment, configuration and optimization of 802.11a networks. In addition, it is used to search for and analyze sources of interference and interference (interference) in the frequency range up to 6 GHz.

Built-in constant voltage supply (bias) (option 10A)

The built-in constant voltage source allows you to supply the central pin of the microwave connector of the Anritsu Site Master S332D analyzer with a constant voltage in the range from +12 V to +24 V in 1 V steps. The DC voltage source is designed for loads up to 6 W inclusive.

Transfer characteristic measurement (option 21)

The Transfer Characteristic Meter (Option 21) allows you to use the Anritsu Site Master S332D analyzer's built-in signal generator (25 MHz - 3 GHz) to measure the gain, attenuation, and isolation characteristics of devices such as filters, cables, attenuators, amplifiers, antennas, and more.

Interference Signal Analysis (Option 25)

Interference (interference) signal analyzer (option 25) displays information about pickup and interference signals in four versions:
- spectrogram;
- RSSI;
- signal level;
- signal identifier (Signal ID).
The spectrogram mode is the formation of a three-dimensional graph of the time dependence of the frequency distribution of the signal power. The Anritsu Site Master S332D analyzer can continuously analyze and record interference signals for 3 days.
The RSSI mode is used to monitor signal strength on a fixed frequency (up to seven days).
The signal level measurement mode is used in conjunction with a directional antenna, which allows you to determine the direction of the source of the interference signal.
The Signal ID mode helps to determine the type and belonging of the signal to individual cells.

Channel Scanner (Option 27)

The channel scanner (option 27) measures the power of a group of individual channels and is very useful when testing GSM, TDMA, AMPS, iDEN networks.

Continuous microwave signal generator (option 28)

The CW Signal Generator (Option 28) allows the Anritsu Site Master S332D analyzer to operate as a signal generator with an amplitude of -80 dBm to -6 dBm in 1 dB steps. In this case, the signal frequency can lie in the range from 25 MHz to 2 GHz. The attenuator connected to the Site Master S332D microwave port can be adjusted from 0 dB to 90 dB in 1 dB steps. A signal splitter connected to the microwave port splits it into two equal parts: half of the signal is fed to the device under test, and the other half to the measuring input of the Site Master S332D analyzer. At the same time, the S332D analyzer displays the level and frequency of the generated signal.

Power Meter (Option 29 for S331D and S332D)

The Power Meter (Option 29) is used to make accurate transmitter power measurements from 4.5 MHz to 3 GHz, allowing base station tuning to avoid weak signal patches as well as excessive signal strength. It does not require any additional external detectors.

GPS receiver (option 31 for S331D and S332D)

The built-in GPS receiver provides position information (latitude, longitude and altitude) as well as global time (UT). The Anritsu Site Master S332D analyzer can add location data to the measurement result so that you can later check the measurement points. This option comes with a magnetic antenna with a 5 meter cable. Using a magnet, the antenna can be attached to the roof of a car or in any other convenient place.

Handheld Software Tools

The Anritsu Site Master S332D analyzer contains many built-in calculation and documentation functions. To perform additional processing on a computer, use the Handheld Software Tools, which is included as standard with the instrument. With this software, the measurement results made by the Anritsu Site Master S332D analyzer can be transferred to a computer, examined and stored.
