MAIN CHARACTERISTICS
The LAN/WAN EXFO FTB-7200 D OTDR optical reflectometer module is designed for measurements both in local and backbone optical networks.
The module has 3 configurations: single mode (1310 and 1550 nm), multimode (850 and 1300 nm) and universal - single mode and multimode: wavelengths - 850, 1300, 1310 and 1550 nm, with dynamic range: 27, 26, 37 and 35 dB respectively. The module is capable of operating even at high levels of reflections, making it extremely effective for testing local networks.
The FTB-7200 module has the smallest dead zones in its area: event dead zone is 1 m and attenuation dead zone is 4.5 m for singlemode and multimode fibers. The function of control of conditions of input of radiation gives the chance to receive more exact measurements. The module is optimized for both 50 µm and 62.5 µm multimode fibers.
Additionally, the module can be equipped with the VFL option, a visual fault locator, which makes it an extremely flexible and cost-effective instrument.
FTB-7500 E optical reflectometer modules are compatible with measurement platforms: EXFO FTB-500 and EXFO FTB-200.
